Dr. Monika Oli is a senior lecturer and undergraduate coordinator in the Department of Microbiology and Cell Science at the University of Florida. Before returning to teach in 2010, she spent nearly 10 years working for startup biotechnology companies, co-inventing five patents during that time.
Dr. Oli earned her BSc from the University of Edinburgh, her MSc from Mississippi State University, Ph.D. from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and subsequently obtained an MSc in Entrepreneurship from the University of Florida.
Dr. Oli is an award-winning, creative teacher and mentor in the classroom as well as online. She currently oversees the curriculum and teaching of microbiology labs at the University of Florida.
